I provide counseling for adults related to:

Counseling is a collaborative process that focuses on your therapeutic needs and primary concerns. Together, we establish a mutually agreeable plan that will help you explore feelings, identify thought and behavioral patterns, and find support both within and from others.
Counseling encompasses traditional psychotherapies along with mindfulness, breathing, meditation, and body awareness. My practice is open for utilization of other techniques such as prayer and chanting for clients who wish to utilize spirituality, faith, or religious traditions. In a supportive, caring environment, people can heal, develop new ways of being in the world and live life from a place of wholeness. Expectations
Life has claimed us. From the moment each of us were conceived, we became the potential of fully realized human beings.
Life happens and regardless of what happens, life still expects us to live up to the potentials we were born with. Life planted that certain something inside of us that drives, propels, and nags us to become fully who we know we are, to meet that desire within and fulfill our need to embrace our wholeness.
Each of us comes with our own set of expectations for the other. I expect certain behaviors from you as a client along with your unique responses to therapy. At the same time, you can expect certain behaviors from me as your counselor and my unique responses to you as the person you are.
I expect that you will show up for our appointments. By showing up, I mean that you will be here at the time and on the day we agreed on and you will come prepared to do some work. We only have one hour together. I also expect that you will spend some time and energy during the other 167 hours of the week that we are not together doing some work towards your goals of counseling. I expect you to be honest about your life, your therapeutic course, and your feelings. You will get out of therapy what you bring to it.
As your counselor, you can expect and depend upon me to respond to you with compassion, respect, and strength centered on my belief that you are already whole and have everything you need to realize your wholeness already living within you. It is part of my job to help you awaken that wholeness and reconnect with your birthright. I can help you do this through a variety of therapies: client-centered, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, existential, rational-emotive behavioral, solution-focused, and psychotherapy. I consider our hour together to be sacred and you can rely on me to be fully present to you during that time.
